O'Dempseys take county final in dramatic fashion 1-8 to Colt's 2-4

The replay of the Junior B final ended in high drama when Mark McCormac kicked an over 50 yd free in injury time to secure victory on a score of O'Dempseys 1-8 to Colts 2-4.
O'Dempseys had started the game slowly once again and conceeded an early goal to trail by half time 1-3 to 0-2. An early 2nd half goal by Mark McCormac was quickly replied to by Colt with a goal of their own. Barry Kelly kicked 5 points and Ruairi Bracken another to leave the game level going into injury time at 2-4 to 1-7 when Mark brought the game to a magnificent climax for O'Dempseys!!! It was a tough ending on Colt who had battled gamely both nights but the celebrations went on long into the night in Killenard !
