ACFL DIVISION 5 FINAL - O'Dempsey's crush Killeshin to take title.

O'Dempsey's eased to ACFL Division 5 glory after brushing aside Killeshin at a rain-soaked Ratheniska on Thursday evening.

Junior B's reach County Final

The Junior B's played their County semi-final against Arles/Killeen in Stradbally on Weds night in perfect weather conditions. This was a great battle throughout with both sides having opportunities to claim a date in the final but it was O'Dempseys who perservered on a score of 0-15 to 0-12. At half time O'Dempseys trailed by 8 pts to 6 pts but they rallied well to have the scores level with 10 mins to go but 3 pts from Barry Kelly left O'Dempseys winners by 15 pts to 12pts. They will now play Colt in the final on friday week.

Junior Championship

O'Dempseys Junior B & C teams played their first two championship matches last week.
On Tuesday night our C team played a strong Mountmellick side and just lost out by 4 points, after a well contested game.
Two days later our Junior B team came from behind to record a 3 point win in the Old Pound. Mountrath will feel a bit hard done by after being the stronger team for most of the game. We now face Graiguecullen at home on Wednesday night in the Junior B quarter final.
