O'Dempseys take county final in dramatic fashion 1-8 to Colt's 2-4

The replay of the Junior B final ended in high drama when Mark McCormac kicked an over 50 yd free in injury time to secure victory on a score of O'Dempseys 1-8 to Colts 2-4.

Fixtures

The replay of the Junior B County final O'Dempseys v Colt is fixed for Timahoe on Weds evening Aug 5th @ 7-30.
The Minor championship game, O'Dempseys v Mountmellick, takes place at the Old Pound on Tuesday night, Aug 3rd @ 7-30.
The 1st round of the Senior Championship takes place on Sunday 9th Aug, when O'Dempseys take on St Josephs @ 2-30 in O'Moore Park.

O'Dempseys 1-10, Colt 2-7

The Junior B County Final ended in an anti-climax on Friday evening when after an interesting second half the game ended in a draw.
O'Dempseys started poorly and were 2-2 down after 10 mins as Colt took full advantage of the wind. However 1-3 by Barry Kelly and 2 points from Ruari Bracken left the game nicely balanced at half time 2-3 to 1-5.
Colin Kehoe leveled the game immeadiately after half time but Colt rallied well and continued to press well right to the end when a draw was proably a fair result.
